I'm still catching up on the Reverb 10 prompts! Check out my December 7th post first if you are confused as to what is going on!
The prompt for December 7 was: Community. Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create, or more deeply connect with in 2011?
This prompt has been the toughest one for me so far because it forces me to admit that I am seriously lacking in the community department this year. I feel restless and unfulfilled when I think about this topic. I need to shake up my sense of community, but I am not quite sure how to go about doing that.
In 2011, I would love to create a community of people who are committed to pursuing a life of gratitude. I am hoping to build such a community through this blog, but it is hard to get readers! Admittedly, I was not fully committed to blogging in 2010. But I am making a firm commitment for 2011, and I am also committing to reaching out to other bloggers. Hopefully, this will help me build the community that I want in 2011!
The prompt for December 8 was: Beautifully Different. Think about what makes you different and what you do that lights people up. Reflect on all the things that make you different – you’ll find they’re what make you beautiful.
The two biggest things that make me different from other people are that I am WAY more silly than the average person and that I laugh WAY more than the average person. I can be a very animated person, which I think people enjoy.
I think that it is difficult for most people to talk about the things that they do that “light other people up.” (I don’t know if other people in the Reverb 10 challenge are experiencing this feeling or not!) I wrote a post about this back on New Year’s Eve 2008, so if you would like to see some other things that make me different, you can read my post here.
That's all the time I have for today -- I'm gonna catch up with the prompts someday soon!!!!
